๐How to Insert or Change the SIM Card in Your Buddy Watch or Buddy Secure
This documentation is only applicable for BYO Sim Plan
Video Instruction
Follow these step-by-step instructions to insert or change the SIM card in your Buddy Watch or Buddy Secure:
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1: Gather Tools
Use the screwdriver and SIM tray opening tool included with your device.

Step 2: Remove the Screw
Locate the small screw on the side of the watch.
Use the screwdriver to gently undo the screw and set it aside. You can use the SIM tray to hold the screw so you don't lose it. (There are two spare screws included if needed.)
Instructions from the link below

Step 3: Open the SIM Tray
Insert the SIM tray opening tool into the slot under the SIM tray.
Gently use the tool as leverage to pry the SIM tray open.
Pro Tip: Place the screws and cover inside the tracker box so you wouldnโt lose them as they are tiny screws.
Step 4: Remove the Existing SIM Card (if applicable)
If thereโs a pre-installed SIM card, carefully remove it. There may be a small glue strip holding it in place.
Step 5: Insert the New SIM Card
Take your 4G nano SIM card and position it correctly in the SIM tray.
The bottom part of the SIM should sit flush with the tray, and the folded corner should be on the right-hand side when facing the tray.

Step 6: Reinsert the SIM Tray
Slide the SIM tray back into the watch. It should go in smoothly without resistance.

Not to Worry: View the step number 7 and it will explain.
Step 7: Secure the SIM Tray
Insert the screw back into place using the screwdriver.
Important: Do not over-tighten the screw. It should be snug but not too tight, just enough to hold the SIM tray securely.
Step 8: Verify SIM Card Compatibility
Ensure you are using a 4G nano SIM card for the watch. Other SIM card sizes or types wonโt work.
And thatโs it! Your SIM card is now installed or replaced. Your Buddy Watch or Buddy Secure is ready to go.
Enjoy your day!

If you donโt see the mobile signal or see the exclamation mark on the screen, then you are either in a low reception area or SIM card is not inserted correctly.
To test, walk outside the house to see if signal appears before re-adjusting the SIM card.
