# Rules and Triggers

## Step by step instructions

Below are the step-by-step instructions of how to setup rules and triggers.

### Step 1

Click on the **Rules** menu option.

### **Step 2**

Click on **+** icon as shown in the screenshot below.

### **Step 3**

Then you will see this page. Type in the name, configure if it's for all devices or not, enter the schedule if you want the rules to trigger within a specific time range or entire day, then choose the days of the week when you want the rules to get triggered.

### Step 4

Go to the triggers tab and click on Geofence, then you can set alerts to trigger if the device enters or exists or just dwells in the geofence area.

### Step 5

Click actions to set the number where you want to send your alerts.
